GIFT GUIDE: FOR THE BEAUTY JUNKIE
Hi!
Is anyone else just completely thrown off by the fact that December is quite literally…like, tomorrow?! Typically I’m a super organized Christmas shopper and try to be done on or before Black Friday. But this year - not so much. I’ve bought one thing - on Black Friday - and it wasn’t even on sale LOL.
If you’re in the same boat as me, I thought it would be fun to get the ball rolling with some ideas for the beauty junkie in your life! (this would totally be me)
Check out my Top 10 picks for beauty lovers - there are some great stocking stuffers in here! These are also a bunch of the things I personally use and love - so treat yourself while you’re shopping, too! Follow the links below to grab ‘em.
// 1. Sunday Riley Multivitamins Set -- $28 This $28 set has been a lifesaver for me! I love buying these little sample sets in the checkout line at Sephora because it’s a great way to try new and expensive products without committing to an entire bottle. I know they look tiny, but these two minis have enough product for at least a month of good skincare. I love using the Luna oil at night after cleansing/toning and following up with the Vitamin C serum before night cream. Use the Vitamin C in your morning routine as well! It’s probably the best Vitamin C I’ve used - gives actual brightening/acne scar reducing results and totally worth the splurge on the full size bottle.
// 2. IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara -- $24 I’m not kidding when I say this is THE mascara. It’s my go-to and I can totally tell a difference when I run out and have to use something else in my box. You.Need.This. (ha, almost forgot we were gifting - everyone you’re shopping for needs this, too!)
// 3. Commodity Wool Eau De Parfum Spray -- $26-$105 This is my favorite fall/winter scent! My best friend turned me on to this brand and there are a few different scents I love. This one has a little bit of a cologne/man vibe to it and it’s the best! It’s earthy and woody with Amber, Vetiver, Bourbon Vanilla. They also sell mini 10ml sprays at Sephora which would be a great stocking stuffer if you can’t splurge. The small ones do last quite awhile!
// 4. Tarte Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Contour Concealer -- $25 Ever wonder “how so and so’s skin looks so perfect all the damn time?!” News flash: it doesn’t - they probably just use this holy grail concealer! When I’m too lazy to use concealer, or I run out, it’s like an instant fail no matter how many other products I have on or how cute my hair looks - I just simply can’t live without this concealer. It really does help sculpt your face and give you that super matte full coverage without being cakey. It honestly wears really well and doesn’t crease! Best practice would be applying with the wand in a triangular shape under the eyes and blending with a damp beauty blender. Bring any excess product down around your nose, chin, etc. to conceal redness. Set with powder and you’ll be addicted for life! I wear “Light Sand” for reference.
// 5. Bare Minerals Gen Nude Patent Liquid Lipstick -- $19 I’ve always been more of a matte lip girl and typically hate gloss BUT I got this in the color “Dahling” as a gift with purchase and have been wearing it non-stop. It’s got just the right amount of shine, not sticky, actually feels pretty moisturizing, and the shine lasts awhile. They also have a cream-to-matte version which I’m now super interested in trying!
// 6. Slip Large Slipsilk Schrunchies -- $39 I love a good 90’s scrunchie comeback. These are perfect to wear while you sleep so you don’t wake up with those annoying bends in your hair caused by regular elastics. Excellent stocking stuffer for your girlfriends who roll around with second or third day hair. (super guilty)
// 7. Slip Silk Pillowcase - Standard/Queen -- $85 And if you really want to splurge, this would be a great gift for your mama or sister. Made from the highest grade mulberry silk, these pillowcases allow skin to breathe (unlike synthetic silk, which sweats) and avoid fine lines and wrinkles by keeping your facial skin hydrated. Cotton tugs on skin and hair resulting in sleep creases, split ends, etc. Not to mention, the silk keeps you cool at night and they are just super pretty! They also sell king size pillowcases, here.
// 8. Living Proof All I Want Is Dry Shampoo Set -- $23 This is one of my all-time favorite dry shampoos (and I’ve tried a lot). Great little set for your girlfriends comes with a full size bottle and one for your purse or gym bag. I never leave the house without a travel size bottle - just in case! A $36 value for both sizes.
// 9. Sephora Collection Spellbound Brush Set -- $49 How cute are these?! Includes 7 medium-sized essentials: buffing foundation, pointed powder, angled concealer, fan brush, flat shadow, crease brush and angled liner. AND a cute little case to travel with. I’m gonna need these!
// 10. Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask -- $20 The ultimate cold weather gift for her. This stuff is awesome! I know it seems pricey for “a lip balm” but it’s just so worth it. A tiny, tiny bit goes a long way so this tub will last for a long time. I keep it in my nightstand and use it before bed - my lips are still moisturized and slightly glossy by morning! Great for a sheer lip balm during the day as well.
PSA: Everything (with the exception of the Shape Tape Concealer) can be found at Sephora which is extra exciting because they are having a savings event now thru December 12th!
What other gift guides would you like to see? I’m thinking something for him, for the foodies, and maybe a holiday party outfit round up.
Happy Gifting!
